Exens - Batch Check

Support

A partial delivery can leave you guessing what each sellable unit actually cost. Exens - Batch Check walks through one purchase batch—from invoice lines and freight shares to received counts and confirmed credits—so you can close the batch with a recorded cost per usable unit.

What you can do in the app

In short, the app lets you:

  1. Create a batch with one currency, supplier, date, and product lines (quantities, unit prices, and weights).
  2. Enter shared freight or handling and preview allocation by value, units, or declared weight before applying a method.
  3. Record received and usable quantities, see shortages versus damage, and enter confirmed supplier credits capped per line.
  4. Review actual batch spend, cost per usable unit, and planned-versus-actual changes, then close the batch when shortages are accounted for.
  5. Archive, search, copy a clean draft for the next purchase, copy a text summary, or compare similarly named products across your own closed batches.

Everything is calculated locally from what you type. Internet access is not required for this workflow.

Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone or iPad, in the app's private storage. It remains after restart until you delete it or remove the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete or export batches?

Use the integrated data actions in the app to delete locally stored batch records or export them. We cannot delete device data remotely.

Does the app sync to the cloud or require an account?

No. There is no sign-in for normal use, and the core reconciliation flow does not depend on network services.

Why do my per-unit costs change after receipt?

Fewer usable units than ordered can raise the cost per usable unit even when supplier credits reduce total spend, because shared costs stay allocated to the line and credits only reduce goods cost within the limits you confirm. The Cost Impact step explains those relationships before you close a batch.

Can the app verify my supplier or calculate tax?

No. You enter and confirm supplier facts. The app does not determine taxes, duties, or exchange rates.

What is the optional example batch?

It loads only when you choose Load example (or equivalent). It demonstrates freight allocation, partial receipt, and credits without replacing your existing records.

Reporting a problem

Include your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing (for example, closing a batch after partial receipt). Screenshots of on-screen messages help, but avoid attaching sensitive supplier information unless you are comfortable sharing it.
